Farmers Market Position
Sakari Farms is a multi-acre farm located in Tumalo, Oregon. We specialize in Native American tribal food production, education, and value-added production.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Promote Sakari Farms products, produce
- Record and maintain tracking from each market
- Relay customer feedback, sales recap
- Prepare for booth (procuring products/food/planning with field crew)
- Manage event set-up and tear-down, following event vendor rules and guidelines
- Work at an event booth independently
- Manage point of sale, cash reconciliation, inventory management, etc.

Customer Service/Communication Skills
Ability to sell products- instigate sales, meet and greeting new customers
Must have a clean driving record, valid Driver’s License/Insurance, working vehicle, and obtain a Food Handler’s License, Communication Skills, must be able to lift 50lbs.
Saturday (Event) possible weekends if there is an larger event.
Must commit to Saturdays June 1st – September 28th 2024

Farm Labor Position
Sakari Farms is a multi-acre farm located in Tumalo, Oregon. We specialize in Native American tribal food production, education, and value-added production.
Work Requested:
32-40hrs. week
17$hr
Primary responsibilities include:
Crop Management- knowledge of crop rotation/growing cycles, implementing crop plans, record keeping, harvest forecasting.
General Construction- must be skilled and knowledgeable with operating equipment such as but not limited to; weed eater, lawnmower, tractor, chainsaw, and power tools independently.
Attending weekly meetings with owners and farm staff
Plant Propagation, care, and daily watering.
Irrigation- Irrigation and Pump management, daily watering, and maintenance
Pest Management
Weeding
High Tunnel Management and Maintenance
Building- Assisting farm crew with construction and building projects on the farm.
Lift 50lbs
Work in adverse weather conditions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
3 years of Full Time work experience, preferably in Agriculture
Commit to the full growing season with limited vacation time (May-October)
Ability to Communicate- ask for help/questions/address any concerns, etc. (Eye Contact, Be Vocal
Experience and ability working with people of all ages, from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
Clean Driving Record-Drug Free Workplace
Ability to drive/operate and maintain equipment.
Building/Construction skills a PLUS
Ability to lift 70+lbs regularly, bend, lift, climb ladders, reach, dig and do physical labor for up to 8 hours a day.
Work in adverse weather conditions- and have seasonally appropriate clothing.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Record Keeping
Fast Paced work environment- no sitting while planting/weeding-
Odd hours and weekend work required, comfortable with a little chaos and ability to be levelheaded during unpredictable situations.
Compensation: Part Time to Full Position- Hourly wage will start at $17 per hour can increase in pay DOE/time in position.
